The Spinone Italiano is Italy's ultimate close working field dog. During World War II, the Spinone reached the numbers of near extinction. Were it not for but a few dedicated breeders, the Spinone would surely have vanished.

His thick skin, wiry coat,  eyebrows and beard enable him to navigate the roughest terrain and the coldest of water with little effort. Known for his gentle nature and his willingness to please, it is no wonder this breed is so highly regarded.
